Cowboys vs. Commanders Opening Odds Expect Another Blowout in Week 12
By Tyler Maher
The Dallas Cowboys continued their trend of lopsided wins in Week 11, blowing out the Carolina Panthers 33-10. Of the Cowboys' seven wins this season, six of them have come by at least 20 points.
With a home matchup against the hapless Washington Commanders coming up in Week 12, will we see a similar outcome this week? Or will Dallas actually play a close game for a change?
Cowboys vs Commanders Opening Odds
According to the Week 12 opening odds on Monday afternoon, oddsmakers are expecting another Cowboys rout on Thanksgiving. Dallas is listed as a heavy home favorite in this divisional matchup with -600 odds on the moneyline and laying 11 points on the spread.
Given how dominant the Cowboys have looked in most of their wins this year, those lines are certainly warranted. They've been particularly electric at home, going 4-0 with a +110 point differential at AT&T Stadium.
Dallas gets another cupcake matchup this week with the Commanders coming to town. Washington just lost to the lowly New York Giants at home, falling to 4-7 on the season following Sunday's 31-19 defeat.
The Commanders have arguably the worst defense in the NFL, ranking 32nd in points allowed and 29th in total yardage. Dak Prescott and the Cowboys' red-hot offense (second in points, sixth in yards) should feast, as they're averaging a whopping 37 points per game since their bye week.
With Washington traveling to Dallas on a short week, the Cowboys are poised to celebrate the holiday with another monster victory.
