The Dallas Cowboys are rolling heading into their final four games of the season, and quarterback Dak Prescott has played a huge part in the team's success. It's Prescott's level of play at this moment that has fans giddy about Dallas' chances of contending, both now and in the future.

Bleacher Report's Jordan Schultz says both sides are "highly motivated" to get a Prescott deal done during the upcoming offseason. His MVP bid has seemingly expedited the negotiation process, especially with the gunslinger headed for free agency after 2024.
It's no surprise to hear an extension is brewing. This season has shown a major leap from Prescott as a top-end quarterback, rather than just a solid starter. He's shouldered the load offensively for Dallas by leading a prolific passing attack, which includes an NFL-high 28 passing touchdowns from Prescott (and just six interceptions) through the first 14 weeks.
That being said, the rest of the league is surely taking notice of the QB as well. This could complicate his impending free agency after the 2024 campaign if he and the Cowboys can't agree on a deal to extend their partnership.
However, owner Jerry Jones has made it abundantly clear he believes in Prescott, even at the lowest points of this Cowboys season. He won't want to see one of his biggest success stories walk away, which could result in a lucrative extension to keep the two-time Pro Bowler around for the foreseeable future.
