The Dallas Cowboys are riding high after their Thanksgiving thrashing of the Washington Commanders. Quarterback Dak Prescott continued his incredible recent stretch of play on Thursday with another dominant performance through the air.

Though Dallas isn't in action this weekend, Prescott is back to making headlines after his surprise announcement.

Prescott's girlfriend, Sarah Jane Ramos, revealed on Instagram she and the QB are expecting their first child together. Prescott then reposted the image with captions of "Beyond blessed!" and "Girl Dad incoming..."

What a special time for the Prescott family. The two-time Pro Bowler is in the midst of possibly the best stretch of his career, throwing for a whopping 1,607 yards, 17 touchdowns and just 2 interceptions over his last five games.

It's those efforts through the air that have helped the Cowboys go 4-1 during this span, and his play being much more than a one-week explosion has fans confident about Dallas' chances of finishing strong down the stretch.

Now Prescott has plenty to be excited about off the field, too, with his first child on the way. This news could not have come at a more perfect time with the holiday season in full swing.

We've seen players across sports receive a "dad boost" when they welcome little ones into the world, so maybe there's even greater heights to come for Prescott when his baby arrives.

For now, though, he'll look to keep up his form as the Cowboys finish out the regular season. Dallas owns the toughest-remaining strength of schedule, according to Tankathon, so the team will need the gunslinger at his very best to stay near the top of the standings.
