It's been a sad day in the NFL world after the Dallas Cowboys announced that Hall-of-Famer Larry Allen tragically passed away at the age of 52 on June 1.

Allen was known as one of the anchors along the Cowboys' offensive line, as he suited up for Dallas from 1994-2005. The heartbreaking news of his passing has effected many current and former players in the NFL.

Two of his former teammates Deion Sanders and Emmitt Smith went on social media to give their condolences and express their love to Allen.

Deion Sanders and Emmitt Smith Give Respect To Late Larry Allen

Sanders took to X and posted a tweet saying, "Praying for family and loved ones of Larry Allen. May Peace locate you all during this turbulent time. Let’s remember the best of times in Jesus name Amen."

These two men played together for the Cowboys from 1995-1999, dominating at their respective positions. Sanders paid his respects to his late teammate with that message on X and asked that people think of the best moments of Allen at this moment.

As for Smith, he went onto his Instagram account and talked about Allen with tears in his eyes. The 55-year-old said he was one of the best offensive linemen he had ever played with.

He added that he was 'at a loss of words' when discussing the passing of his former teammate. Allen and Smith played together from 1994-2002, where Smith ran for 11,463 yards and 103 rushing scores.

Allen was one of the best players at his position throughout his entire career, notching 11 Pro Bowl nods and being named to the All-Decade teams in the 1990s and the 2000s.

His passing is gut wrecking news and he'll certainly be missed.
