Former Cowboys Star Teases NFL Comeback
The Dallas Cowboys have a way of being talked about, no matter what time of the year it is. This year was no different, as the discourse around the team was regarding whether they were truly fighting to build a championship roster.
With OTAs and mandatory minicamp already on the back burner, the next focus will be on training camp that goes down in July.
With a lack of news out regarding the Dallas Cowboys, former wide receiver Dez Bryant ended that when he went on social media and said he could still play in the NFL.
Cowboys Rumors: Dez Bryant Thinks He Can Still Play in the NFL
Bryant was asked by someone on X if he could still play in the NFL.
He responded, "I think so as well in the right situation."
Bryant, 35, isn't at an age that makes this statement outlandish. He last played in the NFL in 2020 with the Baltimore Ravens but missing out on three NFL seasons is a long time.
During his peak, the former Oklahoma State product was a dynamic playmaker for the Cowboys. In eight seasons in Dallas, Bryant finished with 531 receptions for 7,459 receiving yards, and 73 total touchdowns.
Once he left the Lone Star state things went left for Bryant, as he battled an Achilles injury and looked like a shell of him with the Ravens in 2020.
Despite that, the competitiveness is still there for Bryant and he believes in the right system with the right quarterback, he could be effective.
It is very unlikely that we see this scenario unfold but it would be amazing to see Bryant throw up that X celebration one more time. Especially in a Cowboys uniform since there is noise surrounding CeeDee Lamb's new deal.
