Former Cowboys WR Takes Funny Shot at Jalen Hurts on Twitter

You can take Simi Fehoko out of Dallas, but you can't take the Dallas out of Simi Fehoko.

Former Cowboys wide receiver Simi Fehoko may have left Dallas for Los Angeles, but he's clearly still a Cowboy at heart.

Like the rest of Cowboys Nation he was gleefully watching Jalen Hurts fall apart for the Philadelphia Eagles' third straight loss on Monday Night Football, and he didn't hesitate to take a dig at Hurts while defending Dak Prescott in the process.

Last season the media wouldn't shut up about interceptions. Dak threw a league-high 15, and that was at the center of every story about him. It apparently meant he didn't have what it takes to be a franchise quarterback in the NFL.

Now media darling Jalen Hurts has thrown 12 interceptions on the year, and it's crickets.

Hurts was even considered an MVP front runner until his latest collapse, and at that point he was still on pace for a 13-pick season. Now he's upped that pace to be shooting for a 15-pick season.

But of course, the coverage of NFC East teams is never balanced. Hurts will get his excuses. People will blame his offensive coordinator. They'll blame his illness. Anything to avoid giving Hurts the same treatment they always give Dak.

Of course, that bias is a lot funnier to watch when you're doing it from the top spot in the NFC East.

Being in the top spot still doesn't get Dallas the love it deserves, as the Eagles remain significant favorites to win the division. But if anything, that's a plus for Cowboys fans. You're getting a 2.25-to-1 payout if you back the 'Boys and Dallas does win the NFC East.

"If they hate then let 'em hate and watch the money pile up."
