There are plenty of rivalry storylines to follow heading into the Dallas Cowboys' Week 1 matchup versus the New York Giants. One centers on Giants rookie Jalin Hyatt and Cowboys wide receivers coach Robert Prince after the two were caught having a testy back-and-forth at the wideout's Pro Day before the draft.

Hyatt has addressed meeting Prince once again prior to kickoff, and his response may surprise some fans.

Dan Duggan of The Athletic spoke with the rookie WR about facing Prince's team in Week 1. Hyatt admitted he had "a lot of respect" for Prince during the pre-draft circuit, calling the latter a "good dude" and "great coach." The first-year pro then attempted to squash any lingering beef, saying he has "no hard feelings" over the situation.

"It was a competitive pro day. We were both talking back-and-forth. That’s just how it is sometimes with football. He wanted me to do the best and I respect him for that. There was obviously some stuff that we didn’t see eye-to-eye on, but it is what it is. He has his opinions, I have my opinions and at the same time, I’m trying to work to be the best player I can be. Whatever tips and things he had for me, I’m going to make sure I observe them. There’s no hard feelings. He’s obviously been in the league for a while, so I have a lot of respect for him."

Jalin Hyatt on Robert Prince

The Giants rookie's attitude is nothing short of admirable. He's showing clear maturity by agreeing to disagree with the Cowboys coach on some things, while also making sure to take Prince's advice to heart.

After all, it's likely Prince just wanted to motivated the young pass-catcher to ball out during his Pro Day. Dallas had clear interest in the former Volunteers standout, hosting him for a top-30 visit before the draft. Perhaps Prince was just trying to get a better grasp of how he'd fit in this offense.

Instead, Hyatt will be on the opposing sideline as the Cowboys take the field in Week 1. Hopefully Prince's understanding of the receivier's game helps Dallas' defense spoil the rookie's NFL debut.
