The NFL regular season has arrived and the excitement is out of this world. Organizations, players, and fans are ready to see how things will unfold in between the lines, and the wait is over.

The Cleveland Browns and the Dallas Cowboys are set to square off on Sunday at 3:25 p.m. CT. Both teams have high expectations for the 2024 season but Cleveland receiver Jerry Jeudy ridiculously compared him to CeeDee Lamb ahead of Week 1.

Cowboys News: Jerry Jeudy Compares Himself to Ceedee Lamb

When speaking with reporters on Friday, Jeudy said he believes he can put up similar numbers to Lamb.

"We don't got the same numbers but talent-wise, I feel like I have the talent to put up the numbers that he has put up throughout his career. "

Both players came out in the 2020 NFL Draft. Jeudy was the 15th overall pick by the Denver Broncos while Lamb was the 17th pick by Dallas.

But for Jeudy to think he can put up numbers like Lamb is laughable. The Oklahoma product is one of the best receivers in the game and has been very dominant since heading to Dallas. In four seasons, he has recorded 395 catches (568 targets) for 5,145 receiving yards, and 32 touchdowns. He's gone over 1,000 yards for three straight years.

Meanwhile, Jeudy has compiled 211 receptions for 3,053 yards, and 11 touchdowns. In addition, he's never gone over 1,000 receiving yards in a season.

Yes, I know the quarterback situation in Denver wasn't ideal but regardless, Jeudy hasn't shown enough to say he would have stats like Lamb. He is a good route runner but Lamb can line up all across the formation and wins on all three levels of the field.

Jeudy still has his work cut out for him before he can even be in the same category as Lamb. And we'll see that starting on Sunday.
