It hasn’t been a great offseason for owner Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys, who lost in the playoffs to the Green Bay Packers at home and have done little to nothing in free agency.

The Cowboys owner proclaimed that the team is ‘all-in’ for 2024, but they haven’t done much to live up to that moniker. Dallas brought back head coach Mike McCarthy, had multiple players from last year’s team leave in free agency, and the ongoing contract negotiations with QB Dak Prescott and WR CeeDee Lamb.

Based on those things, the Cowboys must have a good NFL Draft to silence the noise around the organization. Speaking of the draft, Dallas has the No. 24 overall pick and needs to land an impact player.

Jones spoke with the media earlier this week about the team’s draft plans and somehow leaked that they are looking at offensive line help.

“It’s great to be drafting at a position with a lot of quality… If you happen to go in and fits need, it’s fortuitous, Jones said (h/t Nick Harris of DallasCowboys.com)

As you can imagine, Cowboys fans were not amused by Jones’ admittance and even brought up the moniker ‘all-in’ again. Most mock drafts have Dallas taking an offensive lineman, such as Tyler Guyton, Amarius Mims, Jordan Morgan, or Graham Barton.

The Cowboys saw both Tyron Smith and Tyler Biadasz leave in free agency, leaving them in a tough spot as they try to compete in the NFC. With their next need being running back, Dallas has to hope that one of the top tackles or interior offensive linemen is still available when they pick at No. 24.
