The Dallas Cowboys had a very dramatic offseason that was headlined by contract extension talks. Despite all this chatter, the Cowboys extended CeeDee Lamb in late August and gave Dak Prescott a massive deal hours before the Week 1 tilt.

Dallas made Lamb the second-highest-paid WR in the NFL and made Prescott the highest-paid signal-caller in the league.

Now that their superstars are locked in for the foreseeable future, owner Jerry Jones decided to clap back at the haters.

Cowboys News: Jerry Jones Calls Out Dallas Haters

Jones was a guest on "105.3 The Fan", where he discussed Dallas' cash spending over the offseason.

"I'm proud to tell you today, factually, we spent the most cash of any club in the National Football League this year on players. We're the No. 1 cash-spender on players. The reason I'm saying it in that manner is because there was a critique going on a few weeks back that we weren't sending money on players, which is amusing and ridiculous."

Throughout the offseason, there were a bunch of questions asking whether the Cowboys would extend either Lamb or Prescott.

Not only did they do that, but Dallas made them the Top-2 highest paid at their respective positions. And the 81-year-old wants to highlight that.

The Cowboys coughed up $331 million fully guaranteed to keep their superstar duo in town. This highlights that even if Dallas gives their star players the runaround, they'll still pony up the money to keep them around.

And Jones wants to let the naysayers know that. Now that these deals are taken care of, the focus is on the 2024 season.
