Jerry Jones Hypes Up Trey Lance Amid Dak Prescott Uncertainty
The Dallas Cowboys were awfully quiet throughout the first half of the offseason but seemed to be zeroed in on the 2024 NFL Draft.
After fans were upset with the lack of moves, the Cowboys have given the fanbase some excitement with their first four selections on the first two days of the NFL Draft. They were able to add some quality players but as Day 3 kicks off, they won't have a fourth-round pick.
Last August, Dallas acquired Trey Lance from the San Francisco 49ers in exchange for a 2024 fourth-round pick and owner Jerry Jones has no regrets on that decision,

Jones said, "I’d walk out there to give that four for Trey Lance today," in regards to the acquisition of the 23-year-old.
Lance didn't step on the field once for the Cowboys in 2023 but they still love his potential. Although Lance hasn't produced much in the NFL, he has the talent and skill to play in this league.
He was the 3rd overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft due to his powerful throwing arm, athleticism, and his big-time size in the pocket (6'4, 226 pounds).
The Cowboys also like the idea of having a young signal caller in the wings due to the future of Prescott with Dallas in question.
Despite Lance having all the physical traits you would love in a QB, he still needs to put it together on the field.
Over the past year, he could have impressed management behind the scenes, giving Jones even more belief in him.
Only time will tell but the 81-year-old is excited about Lance.
