The Dallas Cowboys are looking to get over .500 and get to 3-2 on the season. Dallas is slated to go on the road to play the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday Night Football.

The Cowboys will be without Micah Parsons, DeMarcus Lawrence, and DaRon Bland on the defensive end. Meanwhile, offensively Brandin Cooks will be on the sideline after he underwent surgery on his knee.

They will need guys behind CeeDee Lamb to step up, and owner Jerry Jones put unneeded pressure on rookie Ryan Flournoy.

Cowboys News: Jerry Compares Ryan Flournoy to Cowboy Legend

During his appearance on 105.3 The Fan, Jones said that Flournoy has some Dez Bryant to him.

"I'm anxious to see him make his first catch with the Dallas Cowboys. He may be something special for us. On a personal basis, he's got Dez Bryant stuff to him. Boy, is he an athlete. I'm glad to see him get this opportunity ... he could show out."

The Cowboys added Flournoy in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft. Despite Jones praising the 24-year-old, he has yet to make his NFL debut through September.

He's now expected to suit up on Sunday but will be behind Lamb, Jalen Tolbert, Jalen Brooks, and KaVontae Turpin.

In his two collegiate seasons at SE Missouri, Flournoy had 118 receptions, 1,823 yards, and 13 touchdowns.

He will be looking to make a positive impression in his debut, as he's clearly done behind the scenes. But regardless, Jones saying that Flournoy has some Dez Bryant to him is certainly a statement. That will just automatically compare him to the Cowboy legend, which is a tall task.

Bryant finished with 531 receptions for 7,459 yards and 73 touchdowns over eight seasons in Dallas. He's one of the best receivers in team history so Flournoy has his work cut out for him.
