The 2024 NFL season is set to kick off on Sept. 5 when the Kansas City Chiefs host the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday night.

The league has revealed some matchups that are going to take place in Week 1 but the official schedule is set to be released on May 15 at 7 p.m. C.T.

ESPN's Joe Buck and former Dallas Cowboys Troy Aikman are known as the 'A Team' and are the broadcast duo on Monday Night Football.

Buck was a guest on 'Good Morning Football' on May 14 and dropped that the Cowboys will be getting some primetime contests on Monday night.

Cowboys News: Dallas Will Have A Few Games On Monday Night Football

Buck was asked what he's most looking forward to and he responded, "We know that we also have the Cowboys twice."

In 2023, the Cowboys had just one MNF contest, that came in Week 6 on the road against the Los Angeles Chargers.

In total, Dallas had six games on prime time last year and that number could be similar again this year.

Rolling into 2024, there are plenty of storylines surrounding this ball club. The contract extensions for Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, and Micah Parsons hang over this franchises head.

If the Cowboys don't extend Prescott, every storyline in 2024 will be wrapped around if Prescott is playing his final season in Dallas.

Add in the fact that Dallas didn't give head coach Mike McCarthy a new deal and he heads in next season on the final year of his contract.

And of course, we can't forget about Jerry Jones, who is the ultimate businessman. It's no surprise that the NFL wants Dallas in primetime and MNF is one of the biggest stages throughout the year.
