The Dallas Cowboys have been in training camp for two weeks now. They first reported to Oxnard, California on July 24 to get the ball rolling for the 2024 season.

The pressure is sky high this year and the Cowboys know it but despite that, they have a lot of questions heading into the upcoming season.

One of the biggest question marks is the contract extension of CeeDee Lamb and the latest reports indicate the star receiver won't be joining the team for the foreseeable future.

Cowboys News: Ceedee Lamb Placed on the Reserve/Did Not Report List

According to Ian Rapoport, the Dallas Cowboys placed Lamb on the Reserve/Did Not Report list while also putting defensive end Sam Williams on IR.

Rapoport added that these are procedural moves to make roster space as they deal with injuries in camp. Although that may be true, it isn't a good sign on the extension front.

Lamb reportedly wants to be the highest-paid non-QB in the league, which means he wants to make at least $35 million annually, which Justin Jefferson got this offseason. In early June, Jefferson signed a four-year, $140 million extension with the Minnesota Vikings.

He is now the highest-paid WR in the league and Lamb wants to clear that mark but can you blame him?

The former Oklahoma standout is a slippery route runner who is able to dominate from all three levels on the field. He's recorded 1,000-plus receiving yards in three straight seasons, including a massive campaign last year.

In 2023, he posted career highs in receptions (135), targets (181), receiving yards (1,749), and touchdowns (12).

He certainly deserves to be paid like one of the best receivers in the game but who knows when that will happen. Dallas doesn't seem in a rush.
