Teams around the league have opened up their facilities for voluntary workouts as we get into the spring. The Dallas Cowboys were one of the teams who had workouts taking place on April 15 but the Cowboys' two biggest stars CeeDee Lamb and Micah Parsons weren't present.

Lamb didn't show up due to his desire for a new deal but Parsons wasn't there for other reasons. Michael Gehlken of the Dallas Morning News reported that a source close to Parsons told the Morning News that the 24-year-old is focused on a personalized training program outside of the facility. He's set on preparing himself for the 2024 season.

Dallas News: Micah Parsons Decided to Skip The First Day of Voluntary Workouts To Train Alone

Parsons had a similar approach last offseason and came to training camp jacked in 2023. Per Gehlken, no one in the Cowboys building is worried. And there's no reason too.

The 2021 first-round pick has been one of the most disruptive and impactful defenders in the NFL. Over the past three seasons, Parsons has registered 213 total tackles, 51 tackles for loss, and 40.5 sacks. He also notched seven forced fumbles.

Parsons is up for a massive extension but that isn't the reason he was absent from Dallas on April 15. Attendance isn't mandatory until minicamps on June 4-6. Until then, Cowboy fans don't need to worry too much.

Parsons just joins Lamb and quarterback Dak Prescott who are eyeing long-term deals.

Nonetheless, Dallas has one of the best rosters in the NFL. According to FanDuel Sportsbook, the Cowboys have the fifth-highest odds (+1500) to win the Super Bowl. If you like these odds, head over to FanDuel Sportsbook and take advantage of your sign-up bonus.
