The news around the Dallas Cowboys just never stops, does it? After a drama-filled offseason that saw Dallas lose countless contributors and coaches leave town, this is supposed to be the quiet part of the offseason.

The Cowboys are taking a summer break before things get serious next month as training camp begins. But instead of taking a back seat, the Cowboys are back in the news cycle but it isn't for the right reasons.

Current safety Malik Hooker called out Micah Parsons when he appeared as a guest on the "All Facts No Brakes with Keyshawn Johnson" podcast.

Cowboys Rumors: Malik Hooker Calls Out Micah Parsons

During that interview, Hooker questioned Parsons' dedication to the game due to his podcast.

"My advice for Micah would be just make sure we're all right. Because if we’re at work and and the run game’s terrible, but you’re doing a podcast every week and you know the run game is terrible, then what are you really caring about? Are you caring about the crowd that was watching the podcast or are you caring about the success of our team and the Super Bowl that we’re trying to reach?"

Malik Hooker

It's been a bit ironic that Hooker called out Parsons on a podcast when saying the 25-year-old puts too much energy into his.

But nonetheless, this is a shocking statement coming from Hooker who has been a teammate of Parsons since he came into the league in 2021. He's seen firsthand all the work that Parsons puts in and how it translates to the field.

Parsons' podcast called 'The Edge with Micah Parsons' is getting a bad rep but it's for no reason.

When it's time to suit up and play football, Parsons is one of the best defenders in the league. In three NFL seasons, Parsons has recorded 213 total tackles, 51 tackles for loss, and 40.5 sacks.

In every NFL season, he's finished with at least 13 sacks.

So this narrative that the podcast is taking away from Parsons' focus on the field isn't true. It just seems like an easy excuse to call out a star player.
