The Dallas Cowboys just handed the Philadelphia Eagles an embarrassing beatdown loss in primetime that has the entire league talking. Philly was completely outmatched from the jump, as Dallas took the lead in the first quarter and never looked back.
While the final score of 33-13 wasn't even close, this affair could've been even more lopsided if the Eagles didn't get some help from the officials. However, star linebacker Micah Parsons made sure to call the refs out for their favoritism after the contest.
Parsons tweeted "I told you it’s comical !" Immediately after the game in response to a clear holding penalty on him that wasn't flagged. While the play didn't end up going anywhere, this is still the kind of egregious miss that officials can't keep looking past.
Parsons wasn't the only star pass-rusher to put the refs on blast in Week 14, however. The Cleveland Browns' Myles Garrett went off on them as well, expressing his annoyance with officials calling contact differently for him because of his dominance.
That's the same issue Parsons is running into as a truly elite talent off of the edge. Just because he has unique size and athleticism doesn't mean opponents should be allowed to get away with extra contact while trying to stop him.
Even if these comments from both Parsons and Garrett end up hurting their wallets, they could reap the benefits on the field by calling this to the league's attention.
Regardless, Parsons isn't going to let the zebras get in the way of his Defensive Player of the Year bid. He's currently the favorite (-130) at DraftKings Sportsbook to win the award after Week 14.
