3. Luke Doncic

Every basketball fan knows how good Luka Doncic is. He does just about everything on the court and more with the ability to turn even the simplest of plays into a viral highlight-reel moment.

Back in August 2021, the Mavericks locked Doncic down through the 2027 season by signing him to a five-year, $207 million rookie supermax extension. Needless to say, it didn't take long for him to prove the deal, which kicked in last season, was a steal.

By the time his fifth NBA campaign ended, Doncic had averaged 32.4 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 8.0 assist with .496/.342/.742 shooting splits. He also recorded 36 double-doubles and 10 triple-doubles, which included recording the first-ever 60/20/10 game in league history in December.

While his upcoming $40 million cap hit isn't cheap, it is a steal for a top-10 player. According to HoopsHype, Doncic is tied for the 16th-highest salary this season, tying him with Zach LaVine and Trae Young while being slightly below Fed VanVleet.

Doncic is easily better than those players and that gap will only grow considering how he won't even turn 25 until February. The bargain deal also means that the Mavericks will have more cap space to build a contender over the next four seasons and beyond.

Obviously, Doncic couldn't be awarded his true value due to his deal being signed after his rookie contract, but it's hard not to love him at his current price compared to other players at a similar cost.
