New Update on Dak Prescott's Mysterious Injury Emerges
This is the final quiet period of the offseason for the Dallas Cowboys as training camp officially starts on July 24.
This has been far from a relaxed offseason for the organization and its star players. The Cowboys failed to extend anyone from the trio of Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, or Micah Parsons.
With two weeks left until players report for practice, there was a concerning report regarding Prescott's foot. He was seen wearing a boot on his right foot when on vacation in Cabo San Lucas.
That certainly rang the alarms around the fanbase but the latest update will allow fans to take a deep breath.
Cowboys News: Dak Prescott Is Out of Walking Boot
Prescott was photographed without the boot on his right foot, showcasing it was a minor injury and they were just being precautious.
With a pivotal season on the way, the Cowboys need their franchise quarterback fully healthy. Although they haven't agreed to terms on an extension, Prescott is still one of the top quarterbacks in the league.
Since Mike McCarthy took over as the head coach in 2020, Prescott's play has elevated. Over the past three seasons, he's thrown for 11,825 yards with 96 passing touchdowns and 34 interceptions, including three straight 12-win campaigns.
Having him healthy and ready to go when training camp begins will be key as the Cowboys build for the 2024 season. Although he's been in the league for eight seasons, every practice rep matters and it looks like Prescott will be ready to roll on July 24.
