NFL MVP Odds Wildly Disrespect Dak Prescott Ahead of Week 13
By Joe Summers
Dak Prescott has been one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL this year, but he's still wildly disrespected in MVP odds.
Despite leading the league's top-scoring offense with superior statistics to the other candidates, Prescott finds himself third in the leaderboard. That gives Cowboys fans time to take advantage of the value, but it's an insult to Dak's incredible season.
Take a look at the latest odds and see why sportsbooks have it wrong below.
Dak Prescott's MVP Odds Disrespectful to Cowboys' Signal Caller
Prescott currently has +800 odds to win NFL MVP, trailing the presumptive favorite Jalen Hurts and two-time winner Patrick Mahomes.
That being said, Prescott's odds surged in recent weeks after three straight dominant performances from the Cowboys offense. Dallas averaged over 41 points per game in the three consecutive victories with Dak throwing 10 TDs to just one interception.
On the year, Prescott has 2,935 passing yards with a 70% completion percentage and 23 passing TDs to just six interceptions. He's added 151 yards and a pair of scores on the ground as well, captaining one of the NFL's most explosive offenses.
With 300+ passing yards in four of his last five games, Dak has an opportunity to take over as the favorite if he continues this pace. Hurts and the Eagles square off with the 49ers in Week 13 while the Cowboys play the Seahawks on Thursday Night Football before a rematch with the Eagles the following week.
If Philadelphia stumbles and Prescott continues his great play, the voters may have no choice but to reward him with the sport's highest individual honor.
