So many things went right for the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, but health wasn't really one of them. After starting left guard Chuma Edoga was knocked out of the contest due to a right elbow injury, star right guard Zack Martin left late in the fourth quarter due to an ankle.

Many are anxious to find out Martin's status, but there's early reason for optimism.

Jane Slater of NFL Network reports the All-Pro guard is "fine" following his injury scare. Slater says it was only precautionary to remove Martin from the contest after he rolled his ankle.

Jerry Jones also told reporters that he doesn't think Martin or Edoga's injuries are serious, providing a serious sigh of relief to Cowboys Nation.

Hopefully the early word on Martin turns out to be true. This O-line is already missing Tyler Smith as he nurses a hamstring injury that's kept him out of both opening games. Martin's steady presence has helped make up for Smith's absence, and the latter's impending return should make this unit even better -- but Martin being knocked out of action would change things, of course.

For now, we'll have to see how Martin is feeling once the dust settles. He wasn't walking with any kind of limp after the win, which is another good sign.

With the lowly Arizona Cardinals up in Week 3, Dallas can afford to be extremely cautious with its prized O-lineman. Don't expect him to suit up if there's any feeling that he's not absolutely 100%.
