3. Ryan Yarbrough, SP/RP, Kansas City Royals

Not too many pitchers excel in a hybrid starter/reliever role, but Ryan Yarbrough is doing a fairly good job at it.

Pitching on a historically bad Royals team hasn't made things easy, but Yarbrough has hit his stride since moving to the rotation. In six starts this year, he's 3-3 with a 3.48 ERA, a 3.67 FIP and a 1.16 WHIP.

His career-low 4.9 K/9 is concerning, but he's doing a good job of limiting walks (1.8 BB/9) and homers (0.8 HR/9). His versatility as a starter and reliever also makes him appealing.

The 31-year-old lefty is cheap ($3 million salary this year) and shouldn't cost too much in return, making him a solid depth option worth targeting.
