The NFC East may have been a joke a few years ago, but that's not the case anymore. All four teams finished at least .500 in 2022, making it one of the most competitive divisions in NFL history.

That figures to be the case again in 2023. The Eagles are back after reaching the Super Bowl, of course, and the Giants are on the rise after winning a playoff game last year. The Commanders are always friskier than expected, too.

So where does that leave the Cowboys? At the top of the division, of course!

Before you question our judgment and say that's ridiculous, here are three reasons why it could happen.

3 Reasons the Cowboys Will Win the NFC East

1. The Eagles Will Crash

Super Bowl hangovers are real, which is why most teams don't make it back the next year (unless you're the Patriots or Chiefs). That's especially true in the case of the Eagles, who saw a ton of their coaching staff poached during the offseason, including both their offensive and defensive coordinator.

That puts a lot of pressure on Nick Sirianni and his staff to pick up where last year's crew left off, and I'm not sure he's up to the task. He's a good motivator, sure, but the Super Bowl exposed some of his tactical shortcomings.

It's also concerning that Jalen Hurts got hurt at the end of last year. Once rushing quarterbacks start sustaining injuries, they can snowball and become recurring. Just look at Lamar Jackson, who hasn't finished a season healthy since 2020.

The Eagles are still a great team, don't get me wrong, but they're not going to win 14 games again. Some regression is to be expected and they'll probably end up around 11 or 12 wins, which opens the door for us to get past them and win our second division title in three years.
