There may not be a team that has been discussed more than the Dallas Cowboys this offseason. That is because of their massive brand but also the drama that has been around this group.

The Cowboys have big-money extensions of Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb, and Micah Parsons hanging over the head of the organization. Despite a clear need to take care of their best players, owner Jerry Jones hasn't dished out any money yet.

That has led to Lamb skipping mandatory minicamp and it was reported that he would request a trade if he's not at least the second-highest-paid WR in the NFL.

With training camp slated to start on July 24 and the potential absence of Lamb looming, there will be plenty of targets available.

Wide receiver Jalen Tolbert is someone who could benefit from the extra practice reps this summer as we head into 2024. With the regular season just two months away, Tolbert is believed to be a breakout candidate for Dallas.

Cowboys News: Jalen Tolbert Named as Breakout Player for 2024

K.D. Drummond of Cowboys Wire believes that Tolbert has a chance to break out next season.

"After a horrible rookie season, Tolbert saw the lights go on in 2023, but saw few opportunities. He’ll face competition from others (Kavontae Turpin, Jalen Brooks, Ryan Flournoy) but there’s around 60 targets waiting to be claimed."

Tolbert, 6'1, has the size and speed to be a nice vertical threat. He has already started heads at practice this spring and it's believed his positive trajectory will continue.

Last season, he logged 22 receptions for 268 yards and two touchdowns. The Cowboys let go of Michael Gallup this summer so there will be some more targets up for grabs.

In the Cowboys' aggressive passing attack, Tolbert will have a chance to make a name for himself around the league. We'll see if he takes advantage and makes the most of his targets.
