The Dallas Cowboys have been in the news cycle since their 2023 season abruptly ended with an embarrassing loss to the Green Bay Packers in the Super Wild Card Round.

Since then they seen countless contributors leave the team this offseason while having the contract extensions of their star players hang over their heads.

As OTAs officially kicked off on May 21 for the Cowboys, it's time to sound the alarm surrounding Micah Parsons and CeeDee Lamb.

Cowboys News: Micah Parsons and CeeDee Lamb Are Not Present at OTAs

Both Parsons and Lamb were absent from Dallas OTAs that started on May 21.

It was expected that Lamb wouldn't show up but the Cowboys hoped that Parsons would be present. Both of these superstar players are seeking long-term extensions.

Since being selected with the 17th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, Lamb has developed into one of the league's best playmakers. In four seasons, he logged 395 receptions (568 targets) for 5,145 receiving yards, and 32 touchdowns, including three straight seasons over 1,000 yards.

As for Parsons, the 24-year-old is a top-notch EDGE rusher. The Penn State product has supplied 213 total tackles, 40.5 sacks, and seven forced fumbles in three seasons.

They both deserve massive paydays but have yet to receive one. Lamb had to watch this offseason as Detroit's Amon-Ra St. Brown (four-year, $120 million) and Philadelphia's A.J. Brown (three-year, $96 million) received new deals.

Meanwhile, Jacksonville's Josh Allen and New York's Brian Burns both earned a five-year, $150 million extensions.

Parsons and Lamb are better than all the players aforementioned so it makes it understandable why they didn't show up for Day 1 of OTAs.

Jerry Jones and Co. need to pony up the funds to take care of their homegrown talent before it continues to linger throughout the offseason.
