Trevon Diggs Injury Concern Suddenly Pops Up Ahead of Week 5
The Dallas Cowboys are 2-2 as we head into Week 5. Last week, they got back into the win column and beat the New York Giants 20-15.
Even though they won, they didn't come out of the game flawless. Micah Parsons and DeMarcus Lawrence both suffered some injuries and are slated to miss some time.
The Cowboys travel to play the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday Night Football but cornerback Trevon Diggs popped up on the injury report on Thursday.
Cowboys News: Trevon Diggs Was Limited in Thursday’s Practice
Per Calvin Watkins of the Dallas Morning News, Diggs was a limited participant in practice due to an ankle injury.
That was new to the injury report, as Diggs had no injury designation at Wednesday's practice. This could just be a minor injury, and the Cowboys want to be precautious.
This is something to keep an eye on during Friday and Saturday as the Cowboys need Diggs out there. With Lawrence already placed on IR and Parsons listed as doubtful, they need their star cornerback on the field.
In 2024, the 26-year-old is fourth on the team in total tackles (18) with three pass breakups and one interception. He also has a 61.3 passer rating in coverage.
The Cowboys are already without Da'Ron Bland in the secondary so being without Diggs wouldn't be ideal.
Especially since the Steelers have a productive George Pickens on the other side. He's recorded 20 receptions for 284 yards on the year.
There's no reason to panic yet if you're a Cowboys fan but this is definitely something to monitor going into the weekend.
