The Dallas Cowboys actually used this offseason to make some changes. After missing out on the playoffs, the front office added some low-cost additions in free agency.

One of those signings was running back Javonte Williams. He inked a one-year, $3 million deal in March. After spending the first four years of his career with the Denver Broncos, he will be in the Lone Star State.

Dallas got an early start to OTAs, and it will run through the end of this month and into the first week of June.

While this is happening, Williams expressed he's feeling good three years after a serious knee injury that saw damage to his ACL, LCL, and posterior lateral corner.

Williams said, "I feel completely like myself…I probably can get more flexible and things like that, but as far as healing up, that I feel like is done."

Javonte Williams Feels Fully Healthy Going Into 2025 Season

Williams had a great rookie campaign, which saw him log a career-high 903 rushing yards, but things took a turn when he tore his ACL, LCL, and PCL during the 2022 season. Since then, he was been working to get back to the form he had in 2022, but it's been a grind.

Williams hasn't rushed for more than 774 rushing yards in a season, yet he's looking forward to 2025. During the early portions of OTAs, Williams has taken the first team reps, but he doesn't know how the running back rotation will pan out.

Regardless, he thinks the offense is well built and the running game will be a major component.

"Then, we've got a lot of playmakers on the outside and a great o-line, a great quarterback, so they're going to do their thing too, but I feel like getting the run game of the ground is something that they've been preaching on."

Dallas' backfield also features Jaydon Blue and Miles Sanders, so this summer will be an interesting competition back there.

If someone outperforms Williams, the Cowboys could easily part ways with him since they only handed him $1 million in guarantees. If they, in fact, wanted to release him, Dallas would only get hit with a $1 million dead cap hit.

Thankfully, he's feeling fully healthy and feels like himself. Now we'll have to see if it translates onto the field.
