Round 1, Pick 16: Aaron Donald, Defensive Tackle, Pittsburgh

This has become the popular pick for the Cowboys in round one, and that’s with good reasoning. Many will argue that Donald is small for this league. But his small size is perfect for the Cowboys. That’s because his frame is just right to play as a 3-technique in Dallas’ 4-3. I have had Donald here for awhile now. The Pittsburgh product plays with a ton of energy that I absolutely love. He is also one of the more quicker players on the defensive line as he clocked in at 4.68 in the 40-yard dash. The Pittsburgh product is explosive off the line of scrimmage, and he is a disruptive force when he gets an inch. Donald could come right in and start right away for the Cowboys.
