Levon Myers, OL, Northern Ill. – Projected Round(s) – 7-UDFA

Myers played left tackle during his time at Northern Illinois. As a left tackle he will need some work to be a starter in the NFL. While I think the Dallas Cowboys could look anywhere in the draft for an offensive lineman, Myers offers depth in the seventh.

He actually could be a lot better at guard, and could contribute right away as a swing guard or in run zone schemes. Watching his tape, he isn’t afraid to block anyone and will stick with his block until the play is over. He has the nastiness that NFL teams love in linemen.

Myers is slow so he will need to work on his speed if he is to play a tackle in the NFL. As a guard, his powerful upper body would work a lot better. He will need to play with a wider base to his feet and his footwork would need some fixing, but with the OL Dallas has, it would be the perfect place to learn.

I believe with a year or two of work he could be a long term answer at both swing tackle and swing guard. Something the Dallas Cowboys could value.
