  • Jake Oettinger

Jake Oettinger was selected 26th overall by the Dallas Stars in the 2017 NHL draft.

While with Boston University, Oettinger put up a 2.45 GAA and .915 save percentage in 38 games last season. In 2016-17, he registered a 2.11 GAA and .927 save percentage in 35 games. Oettinger was the first goalie taken in the 2017 draft, and the Stars traded up from the 29th pick to select him.

In the 2017-18 season, Oettinger was named to the NCAA All-Tournament team. He also has won an NCAA championship and was named the tournament MVP. He added on a bronze medal while playing with the United States at the World Juniors.

  • Colton Point

Colton Point was selected in the 5th round (128th overall) in the 2016 NHL draft.

Point had a fantastic season last year, recording a 1.74 GAA and .944 save percentage in 33 games. He was selected as a finalist for the NCAA Hobey Baker Award (given to the top collegiate player) and on the NCAA Second All-American Team.

The year before, his freshman year, he played 10 games and had a GAA of 2.45 with a .918 save percentage.

Additionally, Point played one game for Canada at the World Juniors in 2017, where he recorded a shutout.

  • Philippe Desrosiers

The Dallas Stars drafted Philippe Desrosiers in the 2nd round (54th overall) in the 2013 NHL draft. Last season, Desrosiers played 36 games for the Idaho Steelheads, Dallas’ ECHL affiliate. He had a 2.51 GAA and a .913 save percentage. He also played two games for the Texas Stars, and has a .86 GAA with a .962 save percentage.

  • Landon Bow

Landon Bow signed a two-year, entry-level contract with the Stars in March 2017.

Bow, who was Texas’ starting netminder last season, had a 2.86 GAA and a .903 save percentage in 46 games. In 2016-17, he spent time with the Idaho and Texas. While with Idaho, he had a 2.08 GAA and .933 save percentage in 27 games. For Texas, he played in 16 games and had a 3.17 GAA with a .894 save percentage.
