After a start to free agency that saw the Dallas Cowboys lose big-name free agents, the team is now in need of athletes on both sides of the ball. Even though the team locked up Pro Bowl wide receiver Amari Cooper, the team will need to add talent to the wide receiver depth chart in the draft.

Draft season is in full swing. The scouting combine has long since passed. Pro days were a thing until they weren’t because a pandemic came through. Mock drafts and big boards are churned daily for the entertainment of fans. For the next month, many football fans are finding the most effective ways to help fill the holes in their favorite football teams.

The Dallas Cowboys have many holes to fill as many of their players are busy signing with other teams. While the Cowboys have more cap space available this offseason than in previous years, free agency is not going to solve all the issues with this team. Hence the draft will seemingly make or break the Cowboys roster once again.

Yay, teambuilding!

On Wednesday, we saw five tight ends that could add valuable depth to the team: Be sure to catch up with my previous articles here: 5 Tight Ends and 7 Safeties

Today we will be looking at the best wide receivers available in each round of the 2020 NFL draft. Dallas’s wide receiver depth chart looks great at the top with recently extended receiver Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup currently holding the one and two spots. After that, relatively inexperienced receivers Cedric Wilson and Devin Smith are currently holding the WR3 and WR4 positions.

With Randall Cobb inking a 3-year contract with the Houston Texans, the Cowboys have a bigger need for talent at the wide receiver position than previously expected. Fortunately, this is a very talented wide receiver class!
