Dallas Cowboys season opening 53-man roster prediction
The NFL preseason is coming to a close this weekend as the Jacksonville Jaguars are coming into town to face our beloved Dallas Cowboys. The organization had the benefit of playing in the Hall of Fame game this year, providing the team with an extra preseason game. Now coming into their last one, it certainly feels as if the team is pretty much decided.
A lot has transpired since the last time I did a roster projection. In the original, which you can find here, I had the team carrying:
Two Quarterbacks
Four Running Backs
Six Wide Receivers
Three Tight Ends
Nine Offensive Linemen
Ten Defensive Linemen
Six Linebackers
Six Cornerbacks
Four Safeties
The roster was hard to predict because of the depth at certain positions, but over the last few weeks, the injury bug has hit several players. At positions like running back and tight end, the talent that once existed has seemingly vanished under the roster trick of full-season injured reserve. The losses at these positions, however, open up new opportunities for players in the defensive backfield and, potentially, on the defensive line.
I once again stand before you today trying to make sense of the Dallas Cowboys with a 53 man roster prediction, although this time we possess the knowledge of preseason game film to know who stands a chance at making it. The recent injury news has likely made my job easier as I’m not in a struggle trying to fit more players into fewer spots.
Here is a Post-Preseason 53 Man Roster Prediction for the Dallas Cowboys
We’re already starting with a shakeup at the quarterback position!
