There is plenty of kudos going around to everyone from Trevon Diggs to Cooper Rush, Micah Parsons to Kellen Moore, but quietly Noah Brown did what he has always done, and became the unsung Dallas Cowboys hero.

Noah has been a consistent player for the Dallas Cowboys, and while many wonder how he has lasted, against Cincinnati he showed again why he plays a vital role on this team. While he may not be the Amari Cooper replacement many wanted, he has played well in the system.

Picked up in the seventh round of the 2017 NFL draft, Brown has played just under the radar for most of his career. Used sparingly through the 2018 season, Brown’s usage went up in 2019. Granted it was not a lot of increase, but he was asked to play a specific role. Many thought he would be a tight end, Brown added some size, and his role was cemented. Brown would be the tough yards, hands receiver.

Noah Brown was the unsung hero of the Dallas Cowboys against Cincinnati, but Brown has quietly been an unsung hero for a few years.

Up to this year, that is all Brown was, a solid fourth option who could step in as a two but helped in shorter yard areas. But lost in all that was Brown has been dependable, runs solid routes, and has the savvy veteran to him. It was apparent during the preseason the team wanted to get Noah Brown a touchdown this season, and he finally has his first.

Once Michael Gallup and James Washington return, maybe Noah returns to his role. However, Brown could help give the ability for the Cowboys to move CeeDee Lamb around more with mismatches. Brown and Gallup give the Cowboys larger receivers on the outside putting smaller corners again Lamb. Cooper Rush knows and is comfortable with Brown, should Dak miss more time Brown could see his role change a little.

Brown should be used quite a bit until those guys return. Rush trusts him, the offensive coordinator trusts him, and it seems like everyone trusts Noah Brown. All he has done is put together a solid career as a depth player, and done everything asked when asked. Noah Brown is an unsung Dallas Cowboy.
