Dallas Cowboys Draft: Position by position breakdown (offense)
By John Herndon
Dallas Cowboys Tight ends
Now that Dalton Schultz has joined the Houston Texans, Jake Ferguson and Peyton Hendershot will have to step up their game to meet the expectations from the year before.
The Dallas Cowboys will also have the experienced Sean McKeon on their team.
This is an incredible collection of tight ends in the upcoming draft. The top tier tight ends are exceptional in many areas.
If Dallas doesn’t select a tight end in the first rounds there will be options in the later rounds. This is the deepest position in this draft.
I am able to confidently identify six players who are effective “playmakers” at the skill position. This group has the capability to take an offense to the next level.
I have briefly written about Michael Mayer and Darnell Washington. You can clink on the links and take a peep. Both bring a physical presence.
Michael Mayer is considered to be the most comprehensive tight end of the group. In my opinion, Darnell Washington is a violent destroyer who will set the tone consistently and quickly.
I don’t think you can go wrong with either.
