A new day has dawned in Dallas. After years of watching Ezekeil Elliott eat behind the Dallas Cowboys offensive line, it’s now Tony Pollard’s turn.

Pollard, 26, has been champing at the bit for his opportunity to be the top dog for the Cowboys. But for years that honor has fallen on the highly paid and far less efficient, Elliott. Despite his struggles, Elliott demanded to be fed and the top Cowboys brass has obliged (because money plays).

But 2023 is Pollard’s year and the 2024 free agent to-be is looking to cash in on the biggest opportunity of his career.

Tony Pollard is going all-in this season as the top RB on the Cowboys and will eat up this opportunity to prove his doubter wrong.

Nothings says “Murica” quite like the Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating contest in Coney Beach on the 4th of July. Professional eaters (yes, that’s right) gather from all over to see how many hot dogs they can cram down their throats in 10 minutes. They eat with fervor, determination, and precision.

Joey Chestnut, the GOAT of the tubular-shaped competitive food eating scene has no comparative equal in the. You could combine Montana, Brady, and Aikman and still fall short of Chestnut’s greatness.

The 15-time champion Chestnut attacks each opportunity like it’s his last. He competes against others almost as hard as he competes against his own greatness. Onlookers know he’s going to win but they watch because they want to know by how much and if he can beat his previous records.

In the same way Pollard is determined to prove doubters wrong. He’s eager to show the Cowboys they were foolish to limit him to second fiddle for the past four years and they’d be wise to pay him like the RB1 he is.

TP is going to be a multi-dimensional weapon capable of winning on the ground, through the air, on breakaways and in short yardage. Will he accomplish everything he seeks to achieve? Maybe. Maybe not. But he’s going to put everything into the task at hand and you can bet he’s planning to eat.

Get ready for a show.
