The Dallas Cowboys are 3-4 on the year and have a crucial battle against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.

Dallas has dropped two games in a row and needs a win to get some positive momentum back in the building. They have been hit with multiple injuries to key guys on the defensive side of the ball, but on Wednesday, they got some terrific news on CB DaRon Bland.

Cowboys News: Dallas is Activating CB DaRon Bland off IR

Per Jordan Schultz, the Cowboys are activating cornerback DaRon Bland off IR and he's set to make his season debut on Sunday.

Bland suffered a stress fracture in the last week of training camp and was ruled out for six to eight weeks. He stepped back on the field for the first time in September and has been rehabbing since then.

Getting the 25-year-old back into the fold is massive for the defense and the overall energy of the team. In 2023, the Fresno State product had 69 total tackles. 15 pass deflections and an NFL-high nine interceptions, including five defensive touchdowns. Those numbers helped him become a First-team All-Pro selection in 2023.

The Cowboys are 20th in the NFL in pass defense (218), but getting Bland into the fold takes pressure off other players on defense. Dallas hopes having better coverage on the backend will give the defensive line more time to generate pressure.

The Cowboys need to get back into the win column and having Bland back on the field is a huge development for this team.
