While the Dallas Cowboys haven't seen much playoff success in the last 30 years, one area that has been a strong point for the franchise is drafting.

Say what you want about Jerry Jones' abysmal free agency decisions, but one thing you can't question is his knack for finding talent in the NFL draft. Micah Parsons, CeeDee Lamb, and Trevon Diggs are just some of the talented names that the Cowboys have drafted in recent years, who are all among the best players at their respective positions.

But even though America's Team has landed some gems in the draft, they've also selected their fair share of misses. Speaking of which, one recent Dallas draft bust just signed with a new NFL franchise ahead of Week 14.

Cowboys News: Vikings Sign CB Kelvin Joseph

On Wednesday, the Minnesota Vikings announced that they have signed cornerback Kelvin Joseph to the practice squad. The veteran defender was selected 44th overall by the Cowboys in 2021 and only went on to play 26 games for the franchise.

It'll be interesting to see if the Vikings are the franchise that finally unlocks Joseph's potential. The former Kentucky product has struggled to find his footing everywhere he's gone as his signing with Minnesota marks the sixth franchise he's joined in the last three years.

Despite being a second-round pick, Joseph never looked the part during his time with the Cowboys. He struggled to earn playing time, starting in just three of his 29 appearances as he went on to record 30 solo tackles, four defended passes, one forced fumble, and a seven-yard fumble recovery.

After he struggled to defend passes on the outside, the Cowboys traded Joseph to the Miami Dolphins in exchange for fellow CB Noah Igbinoghene ahead of the 2023 season. The trade ended up being a wash for both sides as neither player is with the franchise that landed them anymore.

The Vikings own one of the NFL's worst passing defenses this season, leaving time to tell if Joseph can step up and help fix the situation. The ex-Cowboy's first opportunity to suit up with his new team comes at home against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.
