The Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles fanbases are some of the loudest in the world, and when someone goofs something up, people are going to notice. Well, this time, it's not just Cowboys fans, but NFL fans and media making jokes about the Eagles' social media gaffe.
On 'X,' the Eagles posted a video of Jalen Hurts getting picked off by All-Pro Quinyon Mitchell. Not a bad play from Mitchell, but the Eagles posted a video of Hurts getting picked off? First of all, not the perfect time for the Eagles to highlight that, but why would anyone post their QB getting picked off anyway?
This is the highlight of the day in the NFL, not any remarkable catches. Even prominent sports media members haven't been quiet about it, and it's a chance for Cowboys fans to clown on the Eagles.

First of all, nice pick by Mitchell, as he showcased why he may be on track for another All-Pro season. But your QB is getting intercepted? That's not something to be proud of.
Honestly, if you're Hurts, I don't know how you don't feel anything toward the social media team. None of the players really get a say in what the team posts, but if Hurts knew this was in the drafts department, he probably would've said no way to this video going public.
There's plenty of reaction all around social media, and the Eagles' social media team has to realize they made a PR error here.

The team may have only been thinking of Mitchell on this play, but the narrative is that the Eagles can't do it without key role players. Hurts is only a game manager and panics when he's under pressure. At least, that's what the narrative is.
We've seen Cobie Durant and Caleb Downs making plays on defense, but this Eagles post hits different. Fans have treated Hurts more as a meme than anything else, and this was awful timing.

What's worse? The post as a whole? Or the fact that the team decided to do a slow-mo on Mitchell's pick? It's hard to tell, but the Eagles do have at least one former NFL QB defending the post, saying it's not real football yet.

The main takeaway from fans and media is that Hurts is getting picked, but Mitchell is also one of the best secondary players in the league, making a heck of a play.

This was probably an innocent post from the Eagles' official account, but social media can't stop buzzing about this one. It's hilarious if you're an NFL fan in general, but if you're an Eagles fan, it's a rough one.
