Nothing like a random Sunday evening when this pops up on someone's phone, right? Miller, an eight-time Pro Bowler, a three-time First-team All-Pro, a Super Bowl MVP and a two-time Super Bowl champion, will join the Dallas Cowboys in the perfect homecoming possible.
Christian Parker's defense already looks like a complete 180, but now, the Cowboys may only be a Von Miller away from their ultimate goal.

This is what we've been wanting all along. It's only the perfect homecoming in the latter portion of his career. Miller bleeds the Lone Star State. He comes from DeSoto, Texas, a suburb of Dallas, and then went to play college ball at Texas A&M.
At first, it looked like the Cowboys weren't showing the same interest as Miller, but now, all is different.
Even though he's in his upper 30s, he's a valuable piece to any team and will be a vocal leader on Day 1. From a pass-rushing standpoint, he racked up nine sacks for the Commanders last season, so we can say he's still a sharp player. He played in all 17 games and started in three of them.
Even if he's not a Day 1 starter off the bat, he could be a third-down specialist next to Rashan Gary and Donovan Ezeiruaku. As long as he stays healthy, he's going to get some valuable playing time.
Financially, Spotrac says his market value is $5.8 million. It's likely a bargain deal, and the Joneses don't have to dig too deep into their pockets.
He's got a place in Canton one day, but for now, he has a place in Dallas, and he's looking for his third Super Bowl ring. It made too much sense for the Cowboys to pass this up.
