Cowboys Projected to Add Former Second-Round Lineman in New Prediction
The Dallas Cowboys 2024 season hasn't gone as many hoped and expected. They have lost quarterback Dak Prescott for the season but also have seen multiple players take a step back.
The Cowboys have found a way to put together a two-game win streak and own a 5-7 record. On Thanksgiving Day, they beat the New York Giants 27-20. This gives them hope of making a run but many other teams around the league have shifted their focus onto the 2025 offseason.
Bleacher Report dropped an article discussing every team's weaknesses and potential free-agent targets. In that piece, the Cowboys are projected to target guard Teven Jenkins from the Chicago Bears.
The Cowboys' offensive line used to be one of the best positions on the team but that hasn't been the case this season. A big reason for that is the play of guard Zack Martin. The former All-Pro has seen his production take a dip. Over 11 games this season, Martin has already allowed career-highs in pressures (24) and sacks (5).
He's going to be a free agent this offseason, and Jenkins could be his replacement. The Oklahoma State product is a mauler in the run game and has good footwork as a pass-blocker. This season with the Bears, he has a 75.3 overall grade per PFF and has the versatility to play both guard spots. Health has been the only problem for him (20 career missed games) but when he's on the field, he's a consistent player.
The Cowboys could use more stability upfront and Jenkins could be the perfect choice come March.
