The Dallas Cowboys typically don't receive praise from opposing players and fans, especially those within the NFC East, as America's Team has its fair share of detractors.
That didn't stop one potential Hall of Fame quarterback from giving the Cowboys and their front office credit for their biggest move of the offseason, trading for veteran wide receiver George Pickens.
During a recent interview on the 7 p.m. in Brooklyn podcast, New York Giants quarterback Russell Wilson had plenty to say about the fit between Dallas and his former teammate, Pickens. In addition to thinking that the change in atmosphere alone will be something that Pickens loves, Wilson believes the Cowboys will unlock the full potential of the former Georgia Bulldogs standout.

Russell Wilson Praises Cowboys Trading for George Pickens
In his own words, Wilson says the fit between Pickens and the Cowboys will help the wide receiver become one of the "world's best" at the position. Given that Pickens will be lining up outside with a decorated wide receiver in his own right in CeeDee Lamb, it seems safe to suggest that Wilson believes the offense in Dallas could be a problem for opposing defenses.
With Dak Prescott back in the saddle in Dallas for the 2025 campaign, and these weapons flanking him on the outside, it is not going to be much fun for opposing defensive coordinators to come up with game plans to try to slow this offense down.
Wilson knows Pickens as well as anyone after spending the 2024 season in Pittsburgh. If he is willing to say this publicly, on a New York-centric podcast at that, Cowboys fans should know that they have the potential for something special in Dallas.
Knowing that Giants fans will have to hear those words as well has to bring a smile to the faces of Cowboys fans, as beating New York is one of the franchise's most celebrated pastimes.
