The Dallas Cowboys are sitting with a 3-6 record and have a primetime battle against the Houston Texans on Monday Night Football.

They've lost four consecutive games and are seeking to end this skid in this contest. With the Texans expected to win this contest, the Cowboys have their work cut out for them.

The offense needs a spark and decided to start a rookie. While that is great personal news, he revealed it prior to the contest, giving the Texans time to formulate a plan around it.

Cowboys News: Ryan Flournoy Will Start on MNF vs. Texans

Rookie receiver Ryan Flournoy posted on his Instagram account that he will be making his first career start against the Texans. The team took him in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft. Although he appeared in five games thus far, this contest is different, as he's the starter.

This season, he compiled two catches for 25 yards, so he likely won't be a game-changer. It's more about getting different looks out there and trying to get a spark. Outside of CeeDee Lamb, it is a collection of Jalen Tolbert, KaVontae Turpin, Jalen Brooks, and Flournoy.

While this isn't a big move, the 25-year-old revealing this ahead of game time gives the Texans a heads-up. This could have been a surprise for them when the offense trotted out on the field and forced them to adapt.

Instead, they know what personnel to expect, making things more difficult for an already struggling unit. Last week against the Philadelphia Eagles, they only finished with 146 total yards of offense and managed six points.

Hopefully things will be different for Dallas in Week 11.
