The Dallas Cowboys came out in Week 12 and upset the Washington Commanders 34-26, even though they were without multiple starters.

This win halted their five-game losing streak and got them back on track. Brock Hoffman stepped up and started at right guard in the absence of Zack Martin. He played in 66 total snaps, finishing with a 66.8 overall grade per PFF.

In addition to his stout play along the offensive line, he got under the skin of Washington linebacker Frankie Luvu, who threw a punch.

Hoffman responded to Luvu after the game on social media.

In a clip circulating of Hoffman blocking Luvu upfield for 10-15 yards, the 25-year-old responded, "BTA".

That stands for "belt to a**" or "beat that a**".

Regardless, this statement showcases how the Cowboys were able to physically impose their will against the Commanders, especially Hoffman, on that play. Luvu got away with the punch and wasn't ejected, but still walked away with a loss.

They were able to rack up 332 total yards of offense, including 91 yards on the ground. Although that isn't a high number for rushing yards, they were consistent in their approach to running the ball.

Dallas entered the game as a massive 10.5-point underdog but found a way to go on the road to secure a win. Hoffman's ability to step in and hold down the fort played a role in this.

An underrated factor of why this game meant more to Dallas was that it was the first game against Dan Quinn. He did some petty things leading up to the matchup but it didn't work in his favor. Instead, the Cowboys came out victorious and handed a loss to their former coach.
