The Dallas Cowboys are 3-2 on the season and have won two games in a row. They are set to host the Detroit Lions on Sunday and try to keep that win streak rolling. They are going to be without multiple contributors on the defensive side of the ball, like Micah Parsons, DeMarcus Lawrence, and Eric Kendricks.

Going into the year, many people thought the NFC East would be a battle between the Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eagles. After five weeks, that isn't the case though, as the Washington Commanders have come out hot.

They have won four games in a row and are now sitting at 4-1 atop the division. Rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels has taken the league by storm and looks the part of a franchise signal caller.

The Commanders are fifth in the NFL in total offense (392.6), 14th in passing offense (214.2), and first in points per game (31). Despite all these stellar offensive numbers, Cowboy fans would be more annoyed if Washington pulled off this blockbuster trade for a star receiver.

NFL News: Commanders Land Star WR in This Projected Trade

ESPN's Ben Solak discussed what's going on around the league and what potential trade packages could look like. In that piece, he was the Commanders' landing receiver Tee Higgins from the Cincinnati Bengals.

Commanders/Bengals Trade

Higgins is currently playing on the franchise tag of $21.8 million after failing to agree to a long-term deal with the Bengals. Add in that Cincinnati is 1-4 and they could look to gain some assets for Higgins instead of letting him hit free agency and potentially walk.

If he landed in Washington, he would make them a more explosive and dynamic offense. The Clemson product can win on all three levels off the field and excel in those contested catch situations.

In 61 career games, Higgins has reeled in 275 receptions (433 targets) for 3,866 receiving yards, and 26 touchdowns.

Having a 1-2 punch of Higgins and Terry McLaurin would provide massive sparks for Washington, which wouldn't bode well for the Cowboys.

If the Commanders continue to pile up wins while the Bengals fall out of playoff contention, this could be a realistic option.
