It's the eve of the 2025 NFL Draft, and teams around the league are looking to finalize their draft boards. The Dallas Cowboys have 10 total draft picks at their disposal and will look to add more difference makers for next season.
The Cowboys began OTAs on April 14 with first-year head coach Brian Schottenheimer, and players were back in the building.
CB DaRon Bland spoke with reporters on Tuesday and was asked about his contract situation. He said, "I haven't had no talks man. Worried about the season right now."

Cowboys and DaRon Bland Haven’t Had Any Contract Talks
Bland has one year left on his rookie deal and is eligible for an extension. He came into the league as a fifth-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft and developed into a quality defender in the secondary. Bland suffered a stress fracture in his foot last training camp, which caused him to miss the first 10 games of the season.
Over 41 career games (30 starts), Bland compiled 164 total tackles, 27 pass deflections, and 14 interceptions. He also has five defensive touchdowns.
The Cowboys have a huge contract extension looming for Micah Parsons so that may be at the forefront of their mind, but getting Bland locked up would be a smart choice.
Although he isn't a true shutdown corner, Bland has shown the ability to take the ball away and be a solid defender. He has posted an overall and coverage grade of over 70 in all three seasons per PFF.
Another underrated factor that Dallas must consider is that Trevon Diggs is dealing with some issues in his left knee once again. He tore his ACL in 2023, then had a cartilage problem that led to another surgery in 2024.
Getting Bland locked in would be a wise decision, but it looks like that isn't something on their radar.
