It has been a disappointing season for the Dallas Cowboys and their fans. After entering the season with hopes of making the playoffs again and having a chance to compete for a Super Bowl, things quickly went down the drain.

The Cowboys had to deal with key players going down with injuries, but the team itself needed improvements they couldn't correct during the season.

With the offseason right around the corner, a former draft bust was released on Monday, ahead of Week 18.

Cowboys News: Former Cowboy Trysten Hill Gets Released

According to Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay's Twitter page, the team decided to release DT Trysten Hill from the practice squad injured list.

Hill came into the league as a second-round pick by Dallas in the 2019 NFL Draft. He was never able to find his footing with Dallas. He played in 25 games (5 starts) for the Cowboys, logging 33 total tackles, 11 QB hits, four TFLs, and a half sack. Things just didn't work out in Dallas and he was released in November 2022.

After leaving the Cowboys, Hill signed with the Arizona Cardinals, Cleveland Browns, New England Patriots, and the Indianapolis Colts. Despite landing in multiple different spots, Hill was never able to find a secure location.

The Cowboys believed the UCF product and made him a Top 60 selection. He had the physical traits needed to play in the league but failed to put it together.

His best days were with the Cowboys, as he secured just six tackles with the Cardinals. He failed to record any stats with the Pats and didn't get elevated to the Colts active roster.

The 26-year-old has his work cut out for him if he wants to land a job in 2025. Hill has the physical tools but needs to find a way to stay on the field.
