The Dallas Cowboys are sitting with a 3-3 record with a large amount of pressure continuing to rise. They failed to make any significant additions this offseason. Instead, they believed this team was good enough to compete.

They have a stretch from Weeks 8-12, where they play the San Francisco 49ers, Atlanta Falcons, Philadelphia Eagles, Houston Texans, and Washington Commanders. This slate of games can make or break the season.

The Cowboys know that and owner Jerry Jones still appears to be thinking about Derrick Henry.

Cowboys News: Jerry Jones Makes Ridiculous Derrick Henry Statement

During his weekly appearance on 105.3 The Fan, Jones talked about Henry. Jones revealed he doesn't think the Alabama product would produce the same numbers if he played for Dallas due to where the team is at right now.

Jones continues to make outlandish statements like there's no tomorrow. The Cowboys would most likely be better if Henry was there. Dallas said they didn't sign him cause of money. Now they are saying his numbers wouldn't have been the same, which is ridiculous.

After seven weeks, the 30-year-old ranks first in the NFL in carries (134), rushing yards (873), and rushing touchdowns (8). Obviously, playing with Lamar Jackson helps him out but Henry would have made a big-time impact in Dallas. Even if didn't lead the NFL in rushing, he would have elevated this team.

Instead, they decided to roll with Ezekiel Elliott and Rico Dowdle, ranking last in the league in rushing offense (77.2).

Henry is outgaining the entire Dallas roster alone in rushing yards with 873 yards to 463 yards. No matter what Jones tries to say regarding Henry, it is a clear-cut miss. They had a chance to bring him in but they wanted to be cheap. Now, the entire team is suffering and Jones has no one else to blame but himself.
