The Dallas Cowboys are 3-3 and are coming off their bye week. It came at an ideal time, as the Cowboys just had one of the worst home losses in team history, falling 47-9 to the Detroit Lions in Week 6.

There has been a lot of criticism coming from all over regarding the Cowboys. Even former Dallas quarterback Troy Aikman called out the Cowboy wide receivers.

He believes that the Cowboys WRs, including CeeDee Lamb, run terrible routes. That caught the attention of head coach Mike McCarthy, who publicly disagreed with those statements.

Now owner Jerry Jones decided to chime in and backed Aikman over his head coach.

Cowboys News: Jerry Jones Supports Troy Aikman's Statement

Jones made his weekly appearance on 105.3 The Fan and backed Aikman even after he criticized his team.

"Troy knows football. Troy is creditable, very professional, very fair."

No matter what, Jones can't get out of his own way. We all understand that Aikman played for Dallas from 1989-2000, winning three Super Bowl championships.

Jones has a lot of love for him but there's no reason to agree with his statements publicly when he's coming for your players. Especially your star playmaker.

The Cowboys have had to hear all the noise for the last week. Instead of letting it die down and back up your team and head coach, Jones decided to throw them into a corner. This statement can't make McCarthy or any of the receivers happy but that comes with being a Cowboy. Jones is going to speak his mind and sometimes it won't be positive. This was one of those situations.
