Former longtime Cowboys veteran DeMarcus Lawrence may have left Dallas in free agency, but his beef with Micah Parsons is nowhere near stopping. After Lawrence signed with the Seahawks, he made a statement that he was "never going to win a Super Bowl there", referring to Dallas. This didn't sit right with Parsons, who called it "what rejection and envy look like." Lawrence then responded by accusing Parsons of spending too much time tweeting instead of winning.

It has been over a week since the two stars went at each other. Parsons reignited the beef this week in his interview with Clarence Hill of All City DLLS.

Micah Parsons Rejects Accusations About His Off-Field Drama

In the interview, Parsons addresses the accusations that his off-field pursuits cause a distraction and impact his play. Kevin Patra of NFL.com summarized Parsons' remarks, which referred to this accusation as "ridiculous".

"I think it's ridiculous. You watch the tape. There's no question I'm locked in. I'm giving my actual best effort out there on the field, which I think that's all that matters. I have an obligation to be the leader of my family, to take care of my family, and that's to provide for them. I keep the main thing, the main thing. "

Parsons then added that he is still one of the best players out there and "as long as [he's] performing that way, it shouldn't matter." He said that he doesn't drink or smoke and takes care of himself but likes to tweet. The polarizing star then asked the question, "When you jump offside on the goal line, is that because I'm tweeting?"

The 25-year-old pass rusher now sees himself as a clear leader in the organization after Lawrence's departure. He is also awaiting a massive contract extension that should pay him nearly $40 million in average annual salary. After a horrendous 2024 campaign for the entire Cowboys defensive unit, Parsons needs to show next season that he is ready to help turn things around.
