Who could have guessed that Micah Parsons deciding to do a live show during the NFL Draft would bring more drama and issues to the Dallas Cowboys? Was it 100% of Cowboys fans, or maybe just 95%?
Parsons' reaction the moment the Tyler Booker pick was announced was bad enough, but when you combine it with his reaction to another first-round pick, it's downright terrible.
Parsons was visibly devastated when his preferred first-round pick was taken before the Cowboys were on the clock. He's supposed to be one of the leaders on this roster, and he's now already publicly on record essentially telling the team's new first-round pick "I wish you weren't on the team."
#Cowboys Micah Parsons was really upset the Carolina Panthers took WR Tetairoa McMillan.

“That was supposed to be our pick. He was supposed to be opposite CeeDee Lamb.”
Gut punch for Dallas.

Sure, this is how Cowboys fans felt. Just about everyone wanted Tetairoa McMillan. Most experts had mocked him to Dallas. But there's a big difference between fans complaining about a pick and a team leader complaining about the pick.
If anything, Booker being a reach should make it even more important for Parsons to immediately provide him unequivocal public support. Parsons knows the fans will be unhappy with this. A leader would try to get the fans on Booker's side, making the rookie feel more comfortable and confident as he joins the team.
Parsons, instead, seemed more concerned with making good content than being a good teammate.
This is, ultimately, the kind of behavior you expect to see from a player who doesn't believe he's going to be teammates with Booker for more than one season. Acting like this while working on a potential contract extension is the kind of red flag that isn't going to help his leverage in negotiations.
